TEAM PROFILE

Rizwan is a Director in the Tax Practice with 12 years of industry experience. Rizwan has extensive experience in tax controversy both at the federal and state levels, income tax, international, and SALT consulting experience, as well as experience preparing and reviewing individual and entity compliance.

Rizwan specializes in consulting, research and writing, tax dispute and controversy. In addition to being one of the firm’s leads in controversy and conflict resolution, Rizwan heads the firm’s sales and use tax engagements. He is a creative thinker and problem solver which he leverages when working on tax audits, delinquencies, and penalties, among other tax matters. He has the ability to present complex tax concepts in a simplified manner to allow his clients to comprehend and conceptualize tax positions being taken for their benefit.

Prior to joining FGMK in 2019, Rizwan was a tax manager at Lurie, LLP where he started his career after completing law school.
